Kathmandu. A meeting of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Nepal is scheduled to be held tomorrow (Saturday).The meeting, which has been going on since Asar 10, has been postponed several times after top leaders of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s party demanded his resignation
A meeting of the standing committee convened for today has been postponed until Sunday. According to Bishnu Sapkota, press coordinator of the party’s executive chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, the party leadership convened a secretariat meeting after the standing committee meeting was adjourned till Shrawan 04.
The secretariat meeting was called after the power struggle between the two presidents KP Sharma Oli and Dahal and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal could not be stopped. It is said that an attempt will be made to reach a consensus in the secretariat meeting as well.
